Application & interview process
We operate a rigorous application and interview process. It has to be: we need to be sure that the people we employ have the skills to make the grade within a fast-moving business and legal environment. So your academic record is obviously important - it proves you’ve the intelligence to learn new things, after all. But we’re also interested in your potential and your drive to succeed. There’s no typical candidate. Our trainees over the years have come from many different backgrounds and have many different experiences. Personality matters, but that doesn’t mean you have to have the same character as everyone else. It would be a boring place if it did. But we do expect evidence of strong analytical and organisational skills, allied to the ability to communicate and present well.
We accept applications from second year or penultimate-year law students, third-year law and non-law students, and those who have already completed an undergraduate law or non-law degree. You must have achieved - or expect to achieve - a 2:1 or above.
